Delegates at the IMF/World Bank meetings in Singapore next month will each receive a special cardholder specially put together by workers with disabilities.
Organised by Bizlink Centre, the disabled workers will be assembling 6,000 of these unique name cardholders that will depict some of Singapore's attractions.
30-year-old Heidi Yip is one of the disabled workers.
Heidi said: "I feel very proud to be able to contribute to this project because it will demonstrate not only to the people of Singapore but the whole world that disabled people are able to contribute to society as well. It's a meaningful project."
Bizlink says there were many ideas on potential products but they finally settled on name cardholders.
Alvin Lim, General Manager of Bizlink Centre Singapore, said: "All the delegates that will be here are all professionals. We hope they will take this name cardholder to their offices, put it on their tables and each day, they can be reminded of their beautiful experience in Singapore."
The wooden cardholder will feature a copper plate with hand-drawn designs representing Singapore, such as Changi Airport and images of orchids. - CNA/ir
