Physical Disabilities
Physical disability does not affect the intellectual capacity of a person. However, it helps to understand their physical limitations, as you would then be able to employ them in a manner that makes best use of their other attributes.

Amputation |
Surgical removal of a limb or part therein. |

Paraparesis |
Partial paralysis affecting the lower limbs. |

Paraplegia |
Paralysis of the lower half of the body with involvement of both legs. |

Hemiplegia |
Total or partial paralysis of one side of the body. |

Poliomyelitis |
An acute infectious viral disease in which the spinal cord becomes inflamed, often resulting in paralysis. |
|
Cerebral Palsy |
A disability resulting from damage to the brain before, during, or shortly after birth. Outwardly manifested by muscular in-coordination and speech disturbances. |

Muscular Dystrophy |
Hereditary disease characterized by progressive wasting of muscles. |
|
Muscular Atrophy |
Disease of the spinal cord usually characterized by weakness of the muscles in the hands, arms and shoulders. |

Others |
Other physical disabilities including Spinal Bifida, Marfan Syndrome etc. |
